I am Christine Chou, owner of Chopsticks and China Garden Chinese Restaurants. I began my journey into the restaurant and food industry with China Inn of Boston, Massachusetts. I soon decided to move to the folk-based state of Maine with my experience and develop a business in a more rural setting.

Originally from Summerville, Massachusetts, I was seeking someplace “quieter” and that's when I found Bangor. I decided to bring with me my head chef. I am a vegetarian who knows vegetarian dishes better than most because I know the importance of taste and life choice. I consider myself to be very detail oriented and manage 20 staff members who are all either full or part-time.

I am an active local volunteer helping to raise money for Spruce Run and working immigrants through Bangor Literacy to learn English.
